Breastfeeding positively impacts the life course of both maternal and child health including the reduction of infant mortality, yet inequities in breastfeeding initiation, duration, and exclusivity persist, particularly in the African American, Appalachian, and rural populations. This year’s statewide conference, TAKING ACTION FOR EQUITY, a preconference to the Ohio Infant Mortality Summit, will provide plenary sessions and interactive workshops from successful leaders across the continuum, to provide participants with action tools to take back to their community
